Food has always been at the center of my life's most meaningful moments.
Growing up in Brazil, some of my happiest memories were made around the table. My mother had an incredible gift for cooking, and our home was always filled with family and friends praising her food. My father loved bringing people together over appetizers, charcuterie boards, and long conversations that lasted for hours. Those simple moments taught me that great food is about much more than eating—it is about celebrating life, creating memories, and bringing people closer together.
Even today, that hasn't changed. My wife and I still believe that some of life's best moments happen around the table. Sometimes it's a family gathering, sometimes it's simply the two of us sharing a great dessert after dinner. Food has always been our way of slowing down, connecting, and creating memories.

While my love for food began at home, another lesson shaped the person I would become.
My parents always believed that education would be the greatest investment in my future. With their support—and countless sacrifices—I dedicated myself to learning. I completed a technical high school program, worked throughout university to pay for my education, and continued investing in my future by earning three postgraduate degrees, two in Brazil and one in Canada.
That commitment opened the doors to a career in some of the world's largest food companies, including BRF, PepsiCo, and Campbell's. Over the years, I worked across ingredients, foodservice, and consumer packaged goods, developing a deep understanding of the entire food value chain. My experience ranged from ingredient sourcing and supplier negotiations to product development, finished goods, consumer insights, market trends, and supply chain operations.
That journey allowed me to see food from every perspective—not simply as a product, but as the result of exceptional ingredients, thoughtful innovation, operational excellence, and an unwavering attention to detail. It reinforced something I had always believed: truly exceptional food is never created by chance. It is built through passion, expertise, and an uncompromising commitment to quality.
In 2019, I moved to Canada to begin a new chapter. Starting over in a new country wasn't always easy, but it gave me the opportunity to pursue a lifelong dream.
Dannie was born where these two parts of my life came together.
It combines the warmth and traditions of my Brazilian childhood with everything I learned throughout my professional journey in the food industry. Every cookie, brownie, brigadeiro, pão de queijo, and seasonal creation reflects the values that have guided me throughout my life: hard work, continuous learning, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for creating food that brings people together.
